Static line materials
Familiar with the break tape and e-tape. What about 80# fishing line? Just curious

Re: [debaucherordrgz] Static line materials
fishing has been used. But keep in mind how small the diameter is - it's bound to damage your bridle and the tie off point more. If I was forced to use the fishing line, I would make sure I am attaching it to the rapide link on the bridle, and not to the bridle itself.

but in reality, I would just use the right tool for teh right job, and use the 80lb break cord.

Zip ties work, a friend of mine uses them often. I hear they can break prematurely in the cold though.

I just got back from an SL jump 5 mins ago, as Vid666 says, right tool for the right job and I used 80lb cord.

Yup. You are a poster child for using the right tools for the job!

Ahahahahahaha

Regarding the SL the right tools were used. The packjob is another story and it did work!

How about that kitchen film. I hear it's been used at times. Sometimes even with succes. ;)

I distinctly remember some engineer doing extensive tests on that stuff.

What about Pre-Wrap.....the soft stretchy stuff the put on your ankle before taping it up? Seems like that would work well?!
