Cape Town BASE trip
I'm organising a (mostly wingsuit) BASE trip to Cape Town, where I was born and raised. I'll be there from 26 March to 12 April. This is a great time of year for BASE friendly weather, and will be well before the World Cup madness begins (and airline tickets, car hire, hotel, etc. costs soar).

There are lots of very cool sites, Table Mountain (with a cable car ride up) being one of them. There are also a couple of sites I'd like to open. The plan is to have a helicopter for some of the time, but there will also be lots of hiking to do.

Jumping from cliffs is very unlikely to cause legal issues - South Africa has real crime. There are legal bridges (some distance from Cape Town) and even a legal building (in Joburg), so if you'd like to travel around a bit, there's plenty to do. Personally though, I'll be based in Cape Town throughout my stay.

PM me if you're interested in joining us.

Geo.

Re: [goking] Cape Town BASE trip
Any guys and gals that might make it to Jo-burg please let me know, I would love to join in for some jumps if I can get off work.
There is also a decent 800ft antenna 2 hours from Jo-burg (For those who like A's) and the SOWETO cooling towers, a new-ish legal jump.

Please keep me in the loop Smile

If one of them is at the end of the earth, you're too late, Leander did it.
...And all the others have been opened by John in the 90's...Tongue

So he finally got round to it! I'm seeing him in the Valley this weekend. I'll ask him how it went.

say hi to him from me, I wont be able to make it to the valley, it's divingboard time this weekend :-)
Leander was so nice to bring me to the Sentinel, one of the most beautiful low cliffs to jump...

Will do. Ah, the Sentinel - I still haven't done it. Went there once in zero wind conditions. Got to the exit and it was a 25 knot headwind...
