How many of you outlaws out there have had serious ...ahhh...disagreements with a DZSO at a dropzone in the past?
After a discussion with another jumper, it made me wonder if there is a common theme between some of us base jumpers

I have only been kicked off one dropzone... so far

I voted for fist fight in free fall but maybe our DZSO is a little bit better then some of yours because it was a little more the opposite for me. In a 10 way Funnel our DZSO grabbed my legs and wouldnt let go, we were head down and getting low when I started punching his full face.

...as a side note, i have been punched in the face in freefall, by an old guy who (without my knowledge) was told to watch out for me, as i was going to pull his reserve handle just to fuck with him. Of course I had no intention of doing that, but i guess back in the 70's, that shit was all the rage. Well, we get the mandatory 2 points, i check my alti, and see that we're still pretty high, like 8k. So, i decided to try to turn some more points on the old bastard, who was flying like a sheet of plywood up there. I came around to his left side, and when i went for a dock...STARS!. Dude had punched me in the face! I was shaken up to say the least, but clearly remember seeing him flip me the bird and tracking off.
That was my first night jump, and he was my instructor! Classic.
