good observation but the fatality list that has there death recorded on 1st of january actually means we have no real concrete evidence of the day of fatality..
Really? Do you mean the date of death would be either 12/31/XX or 01/01?XZ?
OR
Do you mean that the date of the fatality was unknown sso much that Jan1 was just submitted as a "john doe" in numerical format?
B is doubtful, I know of at least 2 on the BFL that I remember when I found out on New years day. I have never heard of a story of a semishattered skeleton wearing a rig that they couldnt figure out how long its been since the fatality, no carbon dating yet here.
What I was implying was that Dec31/Jan1 is statistically the deadliest 48 hours of jumping a year.
Reasons could be all over the place, cold temps, low pulls, no pulls, object strike, whatever, count in partying for sure. A lot of people take advantage of the holiday for jumping purposes, its fun to celebrate. maybe a need to go mentality sets in because it is a special event or time or whatever. I'll jump any day, even my very alive mothers birthday (she hated that actually, for good reason), but no day or jump is special enough to say no thanks, Im good, even if it just to my self.
