damn..........damn damn damn........DAMN!!!
I don't post stuff about jumps very much, but today is an exception. This morning was the closest to getting busted and scaredest I have ever been on a BASE jump. Nothing went in my favor this morning. Other than living another day.
I was going to jump a S this morning...
Here's how it went down;
Im in the back of a plain white work van with two side doors that open out, to hide me once the driver pulls over. Another person was in the back of the van with me, he was going to PCA me.
We pull over I take a quick peek to confirm the exit point (a single white stripe of spray paint from previous scouting). We're good, I look over and see the get-a-way vehicle, then damn, a dump truck coming down the road below pulls in and turns around, now there is traffic coming both ways across the bridge. I wait inside the van, traffic clears, I step up on the barrier, damn, a man is walking down the road, more traffic coming, I wait, all clear, Im going now, I step back up on the barrier, DAMN, blue lights coming up behind us, We jump back in and the cop pulls over a speeder just before they get ON the bridge, I get on the radio to the get-a-way driver " Its a no-go"
Oh well.
It was still fun and its still there.
