Basejumper.com - archive

Not sure how many of you know Karina from Norway, but 3 years ago she was seriously injured basejumping and told she would never walk again. 14 surgeries and 3 years later, she is now walking and on a speaking tour around the world with The North Face. The PDX crew showed up last night in full support, and her presentation is awe inspiring. She is speaking tonight, along with a teammate, in Olympia.
Tickets are free... hope everybody can make it on such short notice. Spread the word.

Not familiar with the accident, but one thing I found on a Banff site says that it was a skydive demo, not base please clarify,

I believe it was a skydive from a heli with base gear (maybe wingsuit?)--mal was a tension knot, never cleared.

Someone may chime in with more knowledge on the incident.

Good for her for bouncing back from such a bad injury. Is she jumping again?
