iv seen plenty of ski base (videos) but has anyone done/seen a snowboard base please?
i imagine a good take off into a frontside 180 with a stall and pull at 90 will do the job ?
by the way, anyone who's ski baesed, how do you work out/account for exit speed in relation to delay?

That ones easy, just jump off a big enough cliff to not have to worry about it

He's Dutch and it worked fine the year before when we did it. So, he is 50/50 anyway..........

I have seen bunch of snowboard base jumps, and attached a photo of the only one that I ever saw go smoothly.

This is Jeb Browning on his only snowboard base. He ruled it, never tried it again.

Jim Rippey did a pretty rad Rippey flip 720, and spinning 360 degrees of it as his parachute was coming off his back. miraculously it opened on heading no line twists. we were dumbfounded below and attributed it to Rippey's tremendous reserves of talent. He attributed it to "god"

Like I said before, most snowboard bases I have seen go pear shaped really quickly after exit. Lots of bridal wraps, and deploying while facing the wall and unstable.

Ok maybe that's not a ringing endorsement. But we do it like invinceable re-tarded ninjas. No, wait... we do it like my sister does it down at the bus stop... i mean... fuck, never mind. How long til lover's leap gets enough snowpack again?

does anyone know if there's a vid of rippey's jump, i cant find it anywhere?

it looks like the saftest way to do this is to have higher binding angles and go off straight more like a skier, although given enough altitude and barlia's talent anything is possible !!

my possible exit point is only around 200 metres and given enuf snow cover no exposed rocks etc, so worst case scenario iv got a cliff strike cushioned by snow

im thinking to pack slider off and go down to a 46 or 42 pc becuase my exit speed will be equivalant to a one second delay, and then i'l take a 2 second delay after exit, or is it worth packing slider up?
