Hi guys, I'm not a base jumper, but I thought this would be a good place to post my question.

I'm working on a film set and have a character who has been placed in a base jump chute and pushed off of a building. How would the person doing the pushing deploy the chute? Is there a rip cord/handle protruding from the side?

We are using a Snekor base jump rig

I think the ripcord thing would look great in a movie...

If the person doing the pushing is cool, he'd have his own rig and jump off at the same time, and they'd do a waterfall. And he'd definitely smoke it low.

If the pusher is a douchebag, he would connect the pins to a pyrotechnically-fired dildo launcher that is strapped to the victim's ass, poised to violate him. So now the victim has to decide between deploying (thus saving his life but destroying his anus) or dying on impact. Oh wait, that's a scene from Saw 6. Nevermind.
