It is now you are going to talk about how it was back then in the old days
My friend is going to Queen Mauds land in Arctic for one year, and he is not a base jumper. I guess you would feel like an pioneer there if you had the chance ;-) Alaska and Greenland have a lot to explore yet, and even China. Thats where the true challenges laying these days. Who is going to jump the China arch? One have been jumped by Kiddi, but there is still a huge one left we know of. Good luck
Define "back in the old days". Nope, won't start whining about that. Just a pic attached from the same event in the Dutch Metro. 3/4 page, not bad.
Re Queen Maud land. I would love to go there, even not jumping. Maybe you can teach your friend how to jump, or better, advise him you go with him as a teacher. And, what is the China arch? You can PM if you want.
BASE has been mainstream for quite some time now. Look at Kjerag. Or Lauterbrunnen. I do miss the adventure of BASE in the "good old times". When every jump was a new challenge. It was about the intense visuals and just staying alive, not about how many backflips you could do from 400ft or if you could track past the lighthouse... Every single jump used to be an adventure.
