Raptor PC pouch
Anyone using the Tonysuit Raptor for BASE? The PC pouch on my V-2 is perfect, the one on my Raptor is pretty useless. Looking for ideas based on experience. The pic is the suit on a skydiving rig but you get the idea, this setup puts the PC in a non- intuitive place, not a good thing under 500'.

Re: [Martini] Raptor PC pouch
Is that the same pilot chute you use for base? If it is, That handle looks pretty dodgy as well. It's nice and light but it attaches in the center so it's not flush.

Re: [hookitt] Raptor PC pouch
Pictured is a Raptor with an Infinity and 28" skydiving PC. That handle is a poor skydiving design and a potentially deadly BASE setup.

Re: [Martini] Raptor PC pouch
can anyone please elaborate on why you feel using a PC for base with a non-flush handle is a really bad idea?

my guess is simply because of premature deployment possibilities, and possibly just being a weaker stitch altogether that could potentially rip off after prolonged use and that would be kinda fucked to have your PC stuck in the BOC with no handle.

anyone?

Re: [UberChris] Raptor PC pouch
because it gives the bridle a very delicious point to wrap around and choke off the PC thus giving you a very nasty case of deadzees. Granted, such scenario is mostly applicable in burbled PCs, thus not terribly likely, but it is still possible, especially with today's ever growing surface area wingsuits.

*i believe* Lukas Knutson went in on a WS with a hackey sack on the PC.

Re: [UberChris] Raptor PC pouch
I had a PC in tow last year on a W/S jump, bridle wrapped the PC, it had a hackey. Fortunately it was a skydive. Anything that can snag the bridle could be a problem. My BASE wingsuit PC has a tube handle attached through the tube not by a center drilled hole. We're off track here though, I'm interested in the pouch position, it is also critical to a successful deployment.
