Re: [freakboy066] STASHBAGS for BASE GEAR/SKYDIVING GEAR
Has anyone considered producing a stash bag with more durable (cordura) sidewalls? This is where my stash bag has worn the most / taken the most abuse.

It could be done, but would be very bulky and cordura is almost triple the price per yd than f-111 and double parapac.I have never had this problem you speak of with any of my stashbags.

I hid the original post because of the "No advertisement in forums" rule. (I assume you can go ahead and post a classified ad.)

that said, I think it is great for manufacturers to pop in and answer questions. let's see how this thread develops...

i figured as much with regards to volume, thats why i suggested sidewalls only.

It could be done for sure, but would just have to build it differentally. Most stashbags do not have side walls.Usually all 1 piece.

thats what i thought. a have some scuffs and a few small holes, nothing that prevents me from using the thing, it was just a random thought.

fly your body has thought of this. In my opinion, theirs is the only one to buy. it is 25 Euros ($36) so even with the shipping charge it is WAY cheaper than the flimsier, less comfortable stash bags offered by manufacturers stateside.

If we don't allow advertisements in the forums why is it that every time I open a page I get with bombarded with pop up adds for shit.

The fly your body bag is good, tough and all, but doesn't fold down as nice as the typical ones.

However they do tend to load up more vertically and not as 'fat' which makes it easier climbing and all.

However since they are longer and skinnier if you jump a lot of camera gear/mounts, body armour, etc you have to pack them well to make it all fit... and after you jump, it's a little more difficult to get it all back in.

They hold up much better in Moab, where I tend to drag my stash bag over every rock I crawl by or get stuck under....

I shredded 2 apex bags in the last couple years, mostly from Moab type of stuff and have moved on to the fly your body ones.

I don't put the fly your body stashbag in my backpad though due to it's bulk.... it's either fat fat fat in my cargo pocket where I can grab it out and start stuffing, or for terminal I just wear it under my wingsuit.

I'd buy another 2 after I destroy these. Good price, good quality. I'm willing to trade bulk for toughness....
