Just ordered a copy as well. I'd really rather you didn't go in, but if you do, I'll at least rest assured my copy will skyrocket in value . I have no doubt it'll be an interesting read and inspiration to explore new BASE destinations.

Jeremy, heads up guy. It won't be him, as Dan said it will be SA post. It has gotten worse over the last couple of years...

Got an email from Jeremy that he'd sent mine via air, rather than regular SA post, so I'll probably be one of the first in the states to get one. Advantage of having jumped with him and Douggs on the same trip, I guess.

I'll try to post when I get it, and then again with a review after I read it.

I will get 20 copies tomorrow. So if anybody from Switzerland or close by would like to buy a copy, pls let me know by pm. I will bring the remaining copies to LB where I'm sure that the lovely girls from the Horner will keep the books and sell them for Douggs.

I ordered 4th october, got mail that it has been send from SA at about the 14th or 15th october. I`m still waiting here in germany... I hope it`ll arrive soon.

all i can say is we are very sorry for all these postage hassles and long lead times. we did have good intentions as we were trying to keep the costs down as low as possible. its obvious now you all have more money than i though. we are trying to get distributers in each country to make it quicker.
this is not a money making scam, it was purely a personal project and both myself and jeremy didnt realize how much work was involved.
please be patient my friends, everyone seems to be in such a rush for it. its not that good a read so dont stress!!!!

almost 11 weeks now and counting.

i don't mind waiting but the fact that someone in the same country that ordered 8 weeks after me already got his in less than a week while I'm still waiting pisses me off. even more so because i get transfered to a new base after the christmas holidays and if the book doesn't show up this week i might never get it...
if that happens i have to grab one in the horner around christmas and pay a second time.

Hi All,

I do a fair amount of reading and this is one of the best books I have read in quite some time. If you like adventure, especially the skydiving and BASE jumping variety, then you will like this book. It is broken up into various topics and stories that are "on the edge," revealing, and emotional.

I never took Douggs for a writer, but the book is very well written and flows well. In fact, it is written so well that you feel like you are right there on some of his adventures with him. There are alot of cool photos in there as well to accompany his crazy stories.

It is true that it can be a bit of a wait, but I assure you, it is worth it.

This book is Chuck Norris approved!

mine was sent 12/10 still yet to receive the book

For the aussies, apparantly the books were sent via sea mail because of the weight air mail would have been too expensive. I myself would have offered the buyers a more expensive postage option for air mail if u wanted it in a hurry. I have waited 3 months for sea mail to arrive before so dont hold your breath. If u havnt ordered one already give Dave a call from the groundrush shop at picton dz as 2 weeks ago he told me he had 15 copies arriving last week.

put it on amazon so i can buy it on my kindle... base 66 is on there!

I have stuck a couple pages together somehow, and can no longer look at the pictures, can i please get a refund or warranty replacement mr douggs?

Things went postal went it came to getting these books out. What happened was that neither of us did our sums right. Being stuck in the bottom of africa it basically cost a fortune to send them - almost more than you guys paid. So the first batch went via boat and some are still in transit. Then we bumped up the price and could afford to fly them. Thats why recent orders have already arrived.

I don't want to be pushed off the exit point before I am properly kitted up so if you are still waiting and super grumpy about it let me know and I'll airfreight another to you. ( jeremys@iafrica.com ) Believe me this is not making either of us rich. Please email only if you are super pissed off or else I will end up even poorer than I am now.

Cheers - now you know why africa isn't a normal distribution hub for this sort of thing they say almost 90% of all post gets delivered eventually.

A very entertaining read! Every jumper or aspiring jumper should read it. I couldn't wait for mine to ship from Cape Town, so I bought a copy from the Horner.

After having to wait a looong time for the book to come overland, it finally arrived a few days ago. Definitely a good, fun and joyful read :)
