i got a new rig it is a flik 354 with vents. it is going into a bombproof neo two pin. it is really really dificult to get it in. it has been jumped 9 times like this but i am having problems with getting the loops threw. also where can i get a good pack dvd?

 

i understand the differant loops and matterial and there friction. it came packed and i unpacked it to inspect it. it seemed like a brick when i took it out. i have seen video of it and it seemed to take a little while from pitch to extrack (not knowing what kind of pin pressure). the inflate was pretty quick.

are you the guy i was talking with about my 310?

anyway. excessive pin tension can kill.
shoulda bought my rig. oh well.

purchase an appropriately sized container for your canopy, method of packing can affect how bulk is distributed within the container, but will not reduce the overall pack volume of a canopy.

or just cut off the end cells, this will result in about a 28% reduction in pack volume.

see thats my problem, its to thick in the middle, i have room in the container top and bottom i just dont know how to redistribute the chute more evenly.

If my pin tension seems too tight, I push down on the pack job to spread it out and push the flaps together to relieve some of the pin tension. This generally works well for me and is easy to do, but my container is properly sized for the canopy...

the problem is your too FAT!! Your jump'n a 354 and your 5'6"? So your what like 165 kg?

Brother..... sign up for P180x. That way you can loose 2x the weight then the P90x

go to the gym for 3 months, stop stuff'n McNuggets in your mouth, quit the 2 pack a day of cigarettes and booze, and lose 30kg. Maybe 50kg.

Buy a smaller tarp.

How exactly did you pack this? Obviously not for use.

You owe it to the people you're asking advice from to share your experience level. Some of these people are friends of mine. There is only so much you can do with one single online forum. Starting at the end and working toward the beginning seldom works. That's exactly what you're doing.

You've now purchased the equivalent of a loaded gun that in your current state, is pointed only at you. I'm not suggesting that you are actually going to use it but history has proven that the general population will use a tool without training just because they have it.

When I sell equipment, I make sure the person who is going to use it is qualified to kill themselves with it. In other words, they know how to use it for it's intended purpose. If they fuck up and die, well, it was their time.
