You know it's embarrassing for me to see someone asking for advice, and all they get is trash talking from most of the community. It makes me sad.

If you want to jump, learn everything possible before doing so. A Mentor is ideal.
to the people being assholes... stop!
It makes the sport look just as bad as someone who doesn't know what they're doing getting hurt.
I thought you had to be an adult to jump anyway.
yes, some of the posts are meant to be humorous. not all laugh at the same thing.
many of the posts have great observations.
flight schools take your money and follow established guidelines. it is a well documented path.
drop zones take your money and follow established guidelines. it is a well documented path.
Mentors are great in theory. they are hard to find, rarely take money, and have few established guidelines.
First Jump Courses teach basics and then the student is on their own.
unlike flying or skydiving, BASE is not for someone who must be guided at every step. it has extremely harsh realities. some jumpers have known dozens of people who ended up on the BASE fatality list. many more have had serious injuries.
to really succeed, a prospective jumper must be tough and incredibly self-motivated. the OP did not display these traits, yet.
