Brian Woods - BASE brother lost life in Afghanistan :-(

Base Community Lost a Brother!!!!!

We lost a brother to me over the weekend to the damn WAR!!!!

Brian (William) Woods had served over 7 years in the armed forces and yet again he put his life on the line for out freedom! He was on patrol with his reserve outfit in Afghanistan on Friday when an umbush took his life!!!

Brian Woods had over 100 BASE jumps and a lot of people might have seen him with my in Moab during the IPBC days as well as in Twin Falls!

He was a great friend to many and would come to the aid of anyone needing help!

My life is better because of the years we knew each other!

Brian leaves two young daughters and his wife Elizabeth!

Everyone!

I am going to be talking with the family to see if US Bank and/or the Military can help me setup a scholarship in Brians Name!

I'll keep you posted and will be talking about it at Bridge Day!

That's the second one in a little over a year.

Nick Dewhirst was a BASE jumper in the KY/TN area.

Whether jumping or fighting...it's a passion.

So true...

Nick was my teammate for about half a semester back at the Point and even took me for my A-license check dive...all around great guy.

It sucks that we lost another jumper over there. My best wishes go out to his family and friends.

every base jumper knows what can be happened in that activity, same thing about soldiers that goes to the countries such as afghanistan or iraq, nobody force them to go there but themselves, its the way of life!!!
