at least it's not illegal wiretaps. the kind where NO one knows who is targeted. the kind that needs a retroactive law to keep "participating" companies from being sued for violating the law...

the "Patriot" act stole many freedoms from citizens as well. it's a shame Fox News supported those losses.

Ooooo, so if the White House notifies the people on their list, it's okay? This by the way has nothing to do with the Patriot Act or Congress extending the Presidential powers, this is a White House initiative.

The return of McCarthyism lead by a dictator, this should be fun.

I wonder how much of the taxpayer's money is going to pay the salaries of people to make these lists, scan the web for content and review emails sent to "flag" the "fishy"?

 Well, when you have the guns and the monopoly on violence and coercion (The Government) you can do quite alot.

please be constructive, build a better world.

inflaming and incitement is a great method to collect a mob. angry mobs do wonders with pitchforks, but rarely is it constructive.

any fair and balanced discussion would review how his actions compare to previous presidencies and policies. are the current actions outside a norm? Bush policies were taken to court, and they lost several fights. the courts convicted one member of his administration! before that, Clinton was impeached. G. H. W. Bush pardoned Reagan's Defense Secretary. while no court ever found Nixon guilty of much, few would think "innocent" applies to him!

if you believe this policy to be illegal, collect money, and take it to court. fortunately, politicians are not immune in the US! it is a great thing about the country. you get the chance to prove yourself right.

remember, courts are given the power to determine if something is legal or illegal. (legality is not decided by the masses.) thus my opinions on the legality of this policy mean oh so little!

unfortunately, courts require facts. riling up the masses only takes fears.

Thank goodness our forefathers knew how to use a good pitchfork and rally the masses.
