Headed out there on Friday, and I just realized I never booked a room. Is it true the BASE hostel is closed? If so what is the cheapest place to stay close to the bridge? Also BASE friendly ie able to pack in the hall etc.

Shilo inn offers base discount, works out to be around $65-70 / night... otherwise try motel 6, thats usually cheap. call me when you get back

I stayed at the 2007 Chevy Cobalt right at the bridge....dirt cheap..even had enough room to stretch out...jumped in the pool at one of the hotels for a shower....packed in the park on the grass and at a conference room at a couple different hotels..just ask them.

Super8 gives a basejumper discount as well. With tax it comes out to $60/night for the cheapest room. You have to talk to someone at the front desk for the discount and there's a limit per night.

They musta liked you. Because as I understood it, they dropped that. Jimmy and Marta negoiated a new deal with Days Inn at the interstate exit.

Go online for the red lion and usually you can get pretty good deals and they give the discount too and are really friendly and will even let you pack in their bar or conference room, makes for a good thing when you thirsty after a jump or that last packjob of the day. I pay about 60 a night and the rooms are pretty decent and close to the pool.
