I would like to make a rule that says you can't post videos like "first BASE jump" or "my first gainer". This is in an effort to keep the videos more interesting. Someone jumping off the Perrine may be entertaining to the person in the video but I think for 99% of BASE jumpers, it is about as fun as shopping at Bed, Bath, and Beyond with a girlfriend. A gainer off the Perrine would have been very impressive 25 years ago but considering it has been done thousands of times by thousands of different people, it doesn't exactly make for sick footage. Everyone can still post their boring videos on youtube or something like that. There can be an exception though. If there is a bridle wrap or some other type of malfunction, it can be posted.

If its someones first jump more than 20 years ago? Is there any exceptions from the rule then?

I ask you in all seriousness because I'd hate to offend Lord Cochring lest his wrath and displeasure be bestowed upon us all.

You seem to be looking at the videos from an entertainment viewpoint, what about those who wish to learn from other's videos? Either by seeing what to do or what not to do? In fact, most of the video i see from the Perrine are great examples of what not to do.

we sometimes make mistakes and have to pay
the price for it is not only educational but might
make some think twice for rushing into BASE.

I once posted a video of me landing in a tree,
called it SNAFU, and showed how I got scraped
up, but got shit for it so I deleted it.

I personally get a kick out of seeing someone’s first jump. People forget it's not about going big; it's about the thrill you get from doing something for the first time. I wish I could make my first jump or gainer again. That'd be SWEEEEET!!!

I thought last night you said, at the Horner's patio, that you loved Bed, Bath and Beyond so much, you are glad you are doing that instead of jumping with us.
