Line Sets & re-lines
Hey quick question. . .

Would it be a problem to replace the Brake lines w/o getting a full re-line??
Are there any issues that could arise from doing this?
Just curious as, my brake lines are starting to show some significant wear but, the rest look to be ok.
I was thinking of just getting some red dacron and having my rigger finger trap/ bar tack it for me. The cascades are fine, it's just the single line that connects to the toggles that's seeing the wear.

Thanks.

no problems whatsoever, myself and many others have done that a bunch of times - replace from the cascade down.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like there'd be any issues. . .I've never done it before though, so I thought I'd toss the question out there.

Thanks!!

I replace mine from the cascade down every 50 to 75 jumps or so if I am doing mostly slider down stuff.

It sucks to have a brake line blow out and I have had that happen a few times. It fails at the toggle setting, usually from a deep slider down delay.

Cheap insurance.

That's exactly why I want to replace these. The settings are what are showing the wear. And yeah, a "break fire" off an object isn't my idea of a good time!
