Hey everyone, I got a new wingsuit and I need to learn to fly it before I go hucking off of big walls and such. Anybody wanna be a WS coach for a while? It might pay a case of beer or something like a few jump tickets. I just need the basics of hooking it up to the rig and exiting and the such. I got the manual and can teach myself, but I think it would be better to get some personal teaching...... Any takers?

I have jumped at Kapowsin and it is one of three
coolest DZ's I have ever been too. The DZO/Mom
is super cool, puts out healthy snacks, fast plane,
nice peeps, and totally BASE friendly.

However, I will not be there anytime soon hence
why I was asking Jake, a Florida guy, if he had
an extra suit. As for the instruction, that kind of
cracks me up since once you leave the plane the
wingsuit coach can't help you

If you can't find anyone at Kapowsin, try Molalla Aug 28-30 during the All of the Above Boogie. There will be base-friendly wingsuiters there.

If you have read the manuals and just want some to look it over before you go, I can help. I will be there this weekend for the Leap for Lupus boogie. Scott Callantine will be there if you need or want a real instructor to go over things with you.

And if you want to use the container that we were talking about with your BASE canopy, my wife can bring it down for you. She'll be there for the LFL event too. Just give me a call or drop me an e-mail and let me know.

So.... Manuals read, tabs marked for the base rig, Suit fits like a glove, All emergency procedures check, Exits check, flying.......no check yet, I was just interested in jumping with someone for an inaugural flight so that i know what and when. First in, procedures with pilot, last out, before tandems, after students????? Grippers, when to do up leg wing, best way to halt and pull without a good whacking. That kind of stuff. I think once I get my first load with it I’ll be ok. And I also wanted some BASE friendly advice instead of all the flocking and such that I might get with a "Skydiving only" wingsuiter. Although the way to get started is just to fly then to progress to BASE. All the info so far is greatly appreciated, I Might go to the DZ but the Big Wall is such a hard thing to pass up on a hot summer day.... :), but then again, I want to learn to fly so I can jump shit like that when I’m good and ready too with quite a few sky jumps in the suit. I’m in no way interested in hucking off anything just yet with the suit on . We’ll see how it goes and I got some good info, thanks so far to everyone that’s given their $.02.

Yeah, I was going to jump our big wall AFTER learning to WS BASE in Norway and Switzerland...but the temptation was TOO great!
