Sibu BASE Jump 2009
The Malaysian BASE Association and Sarawak Tourism are happy to announce a BASE jumping event in Sibu, Sarawak. Sibu BASE Jump 2009 will take place on 31st October 2009 off Wisma Sanyan, the tallest building in Sarawak. Sibu, Sarawak is located in Eastern Malaysia on the island of Borneo. Wisma Sanyan is 126 meters high.
The event is organised by the Malaysian BASE Association, Sarawak local organiser Capt Wallen Alexander Gugak and Sarawak Tourism.
President of the Malaysia BASE Association, Aziz Ahmad, recently made some trial jumps off this building and is excited about bringing an event to this location.
A picture of the building can been seen at http://www.basejumpingdisplays.com
The event is timed to be take place after Menara KL’s annual event at KL Tower and their following 24 hour event. Note, Menara KL has no association with Sibu BASE 2009. If you are in Malaysia at this time it is a great bonus building to do on your trip.

ps. Those that were interested in Sabah BASE 2009, unfortunately we had to cancel it this year but expect to bring events back there in the future. The Wisma Sanyan in Sibu is a higher building and a great alternative.
