 wondering what people think of it? or feather with ZP nose? i think thats what id want.
and also wondering what container your using considering Asylum isn't offering one as of late.
or is it that you can just have them put it in a container 3 sizes smaller with a harness in your size?  i guess?

truthfully that's probably almost as close to being just as flat as the razor/hybrid style?

some of the guy's i've talked to about their razors and/or hybrids dont notice any performance difference anyway but do like the smaller size/less bulkyness and decreased weight.

also anyone know what size skydive rig a feather260 fits in. i jump a D6 (dolphin) now and dont wanna have get another. if it packs down 3 sizes from a regular 260 i think it might be too loose? but maybe not.

i do realise i can call Asylum for some of these questions. i just wanted some outside ideas etc. before.

That's an easy fix. Have a rigger sew some velcro strips in the main pack tray and on a foam pillow. Instant smaller container.

I have about 60 jumps on the feather so far, mostly on a 240 but about 15 on a 260. I've done both terminal and subterminal slider up. Neither canopy had a zp nose.

Over all the canopy is outstanding, I can't really think of any draw backs. I really enjoy flying it, it has an extremely broad range of flight. At the top end, it glides well and is fairly fast but shuts down really well, you can fly it extremely slow w/o stalling and it sinks very well, while still maintaining responsiveness. The flare is very deep and powerfull. One of the things that amazed me is how easy it is to control the openings, if you want a quick opening, no problem. Nice and slow? roll the nose, it's like turning a dial for opening speed, one roll, little faster, 3 rolls, nice and butterery. Most of the jumps have been wingsuiting.

As far as containers go, I happened to see a new one over at asylum the other day. You probably want to call about it, it is similar to the hybrid etc.A new design and slightly different concept. I personally like it better than the hybrids and razors I have seen.

As far as bulk goes, the 240 I was jumping fit in my infinity no problem that I normally put a 150 nitron in , it was even a little smaller. The 260 fit in a container made for a 170 9-cell.

what was your choice spectra or dacron?

how many of the 60 were BASE flights?

Oh yeah! What BASE container (size) were you using to fit your smaller canopy into? (if jumps were Fixed ones)

About 45 of the jumps were base jumps, with 35 being terminal.

I jumped both dacron and spectra. I would choose depending on what I wanted to do. For the occasional slider down jump go wth dacron, if only slider up, terminal and sub terminal, go with spectra.

There is definetely a difference in bulk, the dacron being bigger obviosly, while the difference is noticable, over all it wouldn't make that much of a diffrence.

I used a p pro built for a 220, it worked , but was really WAY to big for both the 260 and 240. I would definetely recomend a specific container.

The canopy performs great in the sub terminal enviroment w/ a slider or w/o. The slider up opening are clean and fast, the same w/o a slider.
