Adrenaline Critical
Alright, due to someone's mistake, I lost my plane ticket to California along with the $575 in reservations at a log cabin at Yosemite National Park for a week of freeclimbing. It's too expensive to rebook a flight...

I don't know how you guys and gals respond when you've been anticipating an adrenaline rich experience and then it gets torn away from you; but, I respond poorly and have to do something to get the adrenaline pumping. At the moment, I'm trying to think of the best way to do that since I don't have a BASE rig (or BASE experience yet) and skydiving is boring. All I can really come up with right now is skitching a car at high speed on my longboard with ceramic bearings. I need other ideas if anyone has any because that isn't too viable in Tampa.

EDIT: Expedia FTL If you're gonna take someone's money and make a mistake. It is customary to make it right. Not to bullshit and hang up on your customers. Grrr! They better have a tall building somewhere because I wanna jump it at some point. At least take something back from them.

How about wild boar hunting with a handgun, bow, or knife?

pull an armed robbery on a convenience store, smoke some crack, and then go to a heavy metal club and get in the pit for some hard moshing. i assure you, trust me on this, this will get your adrenaline higher than it's ever been before.

start by listening to something like this:

Maybe a different aspect of skydiving? Have you tried it all? RW, sitflying, head down, VFR, CRW, swooping, or the always enjoyable CFs? (Clusterfucks) Trying new things often get your adrenaline levels up fairly quickly even if they arent considered overly risky.

Other than extreme sports there are other ways to get that flow of chemicals to your brain. Working out can do it for example, spending time outside in the sun (vitamin D), sex of course, try to pick up women, etc. I have found anything physically laborous or things i can turn into a competition tend to give me that "feel good" feeling.

It really just comes to are you chasing adrenaline or are you chasing that "damn i feel good" feeling that tends to come with an adrenaline rush?

460: Hahaha the sad part is I thought about that minus the crack; but, decided it was to much work to pull off a robbery without putting other people in danger and getting caught. Maybe when I have more time to research/plan :P

FreeFallFiend: I've done RW jumps up to 26-way. Started practicing sitflying and head down. It was fun, but, none of it was really exhilarating. Don't have the gear to try CRW or swooping yet. I do workout regularly and it does feel good to do so; but, I'm really looking for the adrenaline.

Have you tried a 24 case of Red Bull and a dozen sugar cookies?

Try sparring, because there is a charge
in avoiding getting punched in the face.

You will get a workout, learn some skills,
and will not have to worry about prison or
addiction with crack and/or armed robbery.

In reply to:

You can swoop and do CRW with any canopy, some are just better suited for the task than others. There are plenty of ways to make skydiving more exciting: pull low, disconnect your RSL and do a low cutaway, wait for your cypress to fire, ride a Mr Bill down to below 1500 feet, hook your canopy up backwards and see if you can land it in reverse...

Oh yeah and get grounded by your CCI with our (novice) jump numbers, goodluck even trying to talk experienced guys into doing Mr Bill with with us (novices)...

You're looking from a very experienced skydivers perspective where he can almost do anything he wants without being screwed over by the DZ... Pirate

Re: [Sangi] Adrenaline Critical
I'm not a very experiened skydiver, 250 jumps, nor was I that experienced when I was banned from my local DZ. There are always a couple guys at the DZ that you can talk into doing almost anything.

You can try being creative to prevent getting banned. For instance if you decide to pull low, put your hand on your BOC around 2000' and keep it there until you pull. This way you can claim it was a hard pull. If you get banned anyways just go to the next closest DZ and jump for a while, as I did, or do the questionable jump at a DZ other than your home DZ, so getting banned is not such a big deal.

Re: [hikeat] Adrenaline Critical
who the fuck can afford skydiving?, ive decided im totally not into the sport anymore (cause i sold my skydive rig for a BASE rig, had to sell my BASE rig to get out of financial shit, and now not only have NO skydive rig but i have only a brand new helium container sitting in my closet with no canopy so im fucked no matter what)
im done skydiving because im a broke-as-a-joke fuckstick. having to pay for gear rental each jump seriously makes me feel shitty.

Go to a bar, find the strongest/baddest looking guy there that is with a girl, and try to get her to leave with you. What ever happens it'll be a good time.

Does this mean you need someone to stay at that cabin in Yosemite? I can volunteer to stay there for you.

On your profile under occupation you listed "The Man"
guess being the man doesn't pay well these days Tongue

I visited a DZ once while on a BASE trip without my
SKY rig. A guy who was doing ground crew was a
newer skydiver and really wanted to jump with me.

Thought I would get the hook up on gear rental
due to a mutual friend and professional courtesy.
Got stuck paying gear rental and it just irked me!
