Re: [vid666] Atair OSP
I prob have about 80 jumps on my osp245 now.
Love it, love it, love it.
I jump it terminal with no problems whatsoever. I also have 20 wingsuit jumps with it with no issues also.
4 of us all bought them together and we all had to take 4-6 inches off the toggle length. This gave us all a much better flare. I had a few end cell closures in the valley, but after I brought the brakes in, no issues.
On one occasion at a knarly e in England, I messed up a bit and turned super low to land in a carpark, i pretty much swooped it in. I was going in with a too low turn, I planed out in a moment and landed as if I never turned. It settles so quickly! The other jumpers all remarked how stable and settled it looked , considering I had a toggle down about 20ft from the ground. (I was heading towards the cliff) I might have video.
My previous canopy was a troll245. I wouldn't say the osp opened higher, I would say they pressurised at the same height. The osp hasn't opened more objects. I do feel more comfortable with it though, and I had 100 previous jumps on the troll.
At half brakes is really where the osp is fantastic, you can bring it down easily on half brakes, make nice shallow turns and still get a really powerfull flare.
I expected it to have a poor forward drive, but that is not the case. When you have the toggles up, it flies surprisingly fast, and you get good forward drive.
I would reccomend it to anyone as an all round canopy. 5 star.
