Vampire 1 mod.
So, I ordered this V1 in '05, got it in 06, and have been jumping it since. tons of skydive and BASE. maybe 150 total jumps. I knew then it was sewn a little big for me, and I never had a 'problem' flying it and I still have not had any huge problems flying it. Recently a friend who is easily 2" taller than me borrowed the suit and promptly gave it back, saying it is FAR to big for HIM and there is no way I have been jumping it.
I recently was at a place where flying matters, a lot, (only BASE jumps it was on before were LCC and Antennas), it was also the first time I could actually compare my flights with others. (I sucked) the crew thought it could be my suit, adding onto my lack of wingsuit skill.
So, I measured the suit. it was sewn easily 4" too tall for me. (that is pointing toes, and I can't relly point my toes anymore so 6") forget how that mistake was made, in original measuring of me or not, I need to fix it.
Looking at the suit, the only thing I think I want to mod is the leg sections. the leg wing comes to the boot area about 2" above the booty nose. Im thinking I can easily take that out by moding the booties 2" closer to the leg wing. anyone do wingsuit size mods?
I seriously had no idea, now i look at other peoples suits and they FIT. as in they are tight. mine looks baggy as hell on me. I just never jumped it enough. weird.
