yes. meaning I know the incident was in june. but did the fatality actually occur yesterday the 4th? or was it the 1st, 2nd, etc...

I don't know any details but can confirm there was a fatality thursday evening 4th june.

Der Basejumper war mit zwei Freunden unterwegs und sprang als erster, wie die Kantonspolizei am Freigag mitteilte. Seine Kollegen stellten fest, dass der Basejumper in der Luft instabil war. Als sie selbst absprangen und in der Luft waren, sahen sie, dass ihr Kollege abgestürzt war.
Die Rettungskräfte der Air Glacier mit dem Notarzt konnten nur noch den Tod des Basejumpers feststellen. Die genaue Unfallursache war am Freitag nicht bekannt. So konnte die Kantonspolizei auf Anfrage nicht bestätigen, ob sich der Fallschirm zu spät geöffnet hat. Die entsprechenden Ermittlungen sind im Gang.

The BASE jumper was with two friends ("at the Nose" from the other link) and jumped first. His colleagues stated that he was unstable at exit. When the two others jumped, they spotted him laying at the bottom.
