I'm getting ready to buy an S-FLY PROFLY No Grip for BASE. My current BASE suit experience is Birdman S-3 and Vampire V-1.

Does anyone have any BASE feedback on this suit?

I have done some skydiving wing suit flying with someone who has the S-Fly Expert. And I have to say that I am very impressed with the forward speed and glide that he gets out of his suit...

Why not a Vampire 3?

I'm looking for a good suit with no grips...

I broke my arm a few years ago and holding the grips aggravates my arm. Otherwise, I would be all over an S-3.

It just rocks!

Fast and good glide. Not too hard on the arms.

Pull is easy (I don't use a basepouch).

If you ask some specified questions I can give you more accurate answers.

I prefer PF suits. But what are you basing this suggestion on?

well how do u compare it with the expert to start

it seemed like most people using FYB suits were flying experts instead of proflys at the WBR,, is that incorrect

have u flown a V1,V2, or V3 and how did it compare,, or have u flown side by side with them ?

I'm flying a slightly modified Profly without grippers.

The reason all the people were flying experts instead of proflys was that the profly just came out shortly before the race and a lot of the norgie-guys had just bought experts not long before. At least that's what i've been told. I'm curious about this years line up. A lot of V3s for sure, but hopefully some proflys as well.

I haven't tried V1/V3 so far. Compared to the V2 it has a lot better pressurization and agility.

I've flown side by side to all of them and think you can beat V1/V2 with an average pilot for sure. V3 depending on the pilot the Profly might be faster with less glide. Not sure about that one though because I haven't done too many flights at the side of v3s.

Keep in mind I just got my ProFly not too long ago and only did about 30 baseflights so far and there is still an improvement on every flight.

I was flying an expert before. ;)

With side by side i meant a 2way exit + comparing the flights. What don't you believe? That an average pilot in a ProFly can keep up with an average pilot in a Vampire(1/2)?
Picture, movie, nothing here. Only video is from the exit point at Brento on flight #6 or 7 with high winds. But if you are around in Italy in August (gotta heal up first) we could do some testflights! ;)

Allright, you might even get further in a Prodigy than in your V3, remember those first flights with it?

Thanks for the information Tony... But Tommy doesn't count. He can out fly anyone in his T-shirt and jeans, given how tall and skinny he is.

As far as visiting, I'll be out there this summer, for the sole purpose of jumping. I'll give you a heads up when I'm headed that way...
