Hi there! I'm looking to make a short or feature length (i haven't decided yet, and it depends on the amount of footage I get, etc.) documentary about B.A.S.E jumpers. Ideally I would like to get interviews about the sport along with footage of some jumps (obviously). This will be about a year long project in order to gather enough footage (I'm accounting for weather/scheduling issues... hopefully I'm over estimating). I'll be living in Atlanta, GA until early to mid August then I'll be going to school in Tempe, AZ until possibly December. If you are interested in being a part of this documentary then please respond!

 I am in neither state, but out of curiosity - what kind of pay are you offering ?

PM a guy on here, username 460, he knows everything about base, and will give you great footage. he should be in Atlanta now.

why the hostility? i'm just making a short documentary to get more experience and maybe send it to some festivals, also, it's not JUST about B.A.S.E, there's more to it. I felt that this sport needed to be included. As for the pay question: Unfortunatley I'm a starving student, so there would be very little pay if any (I'll buy you lunch?). Thanks for the heads up about the footage, but i'm also trying to take some for myself as well as do interviews (which are actually more important than jumping footage anyway).

care to explain what you are trying to accomplish? try to explain the editorial thrust regarding BASE? why should BASE jumpers trust you? why are you interested in BASE?

as I haven't seen those questions answered, why do you expect cooperation?

heck, do you even have proper equipment? can jumpers believe you can execute such a project?

it's up to you to sell yourself to this community.

ooooOOoooOO we base jump, we have a right to be secretive and assholish in nature.

its a student, with an idea, to film base jumps and make a documentary, dont worry, we'll be ok....

sure we will be ok. there are already a ton of videos about BASE out there.

Requests from people doing films, wanting an interview, etc. pop up here fairly regularly. they and the newbies remind me of telemarketers or door to door salesman. they want something, but need to sell someone on the idea. (no need for it to be me!)

it's a life lesson that will come up time and time again. successful people find ways to motivate others to help them.

To the original poster, I'll be moving out to Prescott around the middle of Sept, if you're still working on the project, I'd be more than happy to bring you out, so long as I get a copy of the raw stuff
