I just saw this on the news and wondered what really happened.

"KTVB.com" "BOISE -- A Massachusetts man is now in critical condition at St. Alphonsus in Boise.

C.D., 30 was BASE jumping with three other people off a cliff just west of the Perrine Bridge outside of Twin Falls.

The Jerome County Sheriff's office says he slammed into the cliff after his chute failed to open.

As of Sunday night, Doyle was listed in critical condition.

This was first local base jumping accident of the year."

Thats exactly why I asked....If it is the E, I know than there is no way you could hit the wall without a chute open. But now I know....Best wishes to all involved. :-(

i met scott in norway two years ago. he jumped the kjerag first time 2 way with his wife steph and he showed us the tequila stuntman!
a nice and helpful guy, bad to hear that he is injured.
i hope he'll get well soon.

It says Montgomery County Firefighters Pipes and Drums at the top, but all the money collected will go to Scott and his family. He's a bagpiper in that band and since they already had a paypal account set up they decided to use that for donations.

It's South African Nic here, I jumped with you guys the day before.
I was there on Sunday early, waiting to jump the bridge with you guys and you never showed up.
Now I know why. Shyt!!

Unfortunately, I learned that Scott passed away this morning from his injuries sustained during his accident back in May. Please keep his wonderful wife Steph and the rest of his family and close friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh hell, thats some sad, sad news. Scott was one of the special people that I feel priveleged to have known. Love and condolences to Steph. BTW if you haven't met Stephanie she's aces and a real heads-up jumper. RIP Moose.
