Digital Log Books
I always log my jumps in both sports, but after
hitting 1000 skydives knew I had enough jumps
logged for any rating, so I quit buying those
books and instead use Excel spreadsheets.

Attached are blank versions of the two I use
to track my SKY and BASE jumps. Included
is some dummy data.

Of course you can easily modify them to
better fit your needs. If you have any
questions about Excel let me know.

Enjoy Cool

Re: [meekerboy] Digital Log Books
Cheers Meekerboy!

Yeah mate using spreadsheets allows nerds like
us to easily compile stats & eventually/hopefully
find patterns but I am curious about 3 things.

1) How do you estimate your opening altitude
with any measure of accuracy? Suunto?

2) Have you found any patterns in your data?

3) Did you enjoy the dummy BASE data? Wink

Re: [GreenMachine] Digital Log Books
1. I can work out static lines / PCA and unpacked with reasonable accuracy. For higher stuff I look at either how much canopy time I have or estimate how high I am over a tallus / landing area.
2. Not many patterns relating to equipment off headings to be honest (I have a few rigs). But I can see that I go through phases of activity, phases of lots SL's or big walls jump, even periods of doing lots of events.
3. Yes the dummy data was good. The next jump needs to read George W Bush has a close call with a particularly dense thorny thicket.
