Am I the only one who didnt see this coming? GFG cancelled because of the poor economy? It's a bummer, I've been dying to go to this one for awhile now.

I don't think it is about making money.. it's about having the funds to make whatever event happen.... someone always needs to get paid when it's an organized event.

I could've swore Jimmy said the same thing last year. Then about halfway through the summer they changed their minds.

Unfortunately, I heard the same news (2nd hand), that the GFG is not happening this year. That's too bad; Jimmy & Marta always do a GREAT job running this event.

However, the reason I heard was not bad finances, but rather, that Troy and Go Fast simply have too many events happening. Troy sez he won't do the GFG at Royal Gorge unless it's a totally first-rate operation, so they had to put it off until next year.

Just my 2 cents.

Aw, lame. And I just finished my vid for last year. It's always fun seeing this high number of jumps/jumpers in such a short span of time.
