They are made by ASylum and not CR, I believe?

I've heard at least one is a "light wieght" style that seems to be cTching on since the advNt of Morpheus' great success with the Trango! And to mention the unexpected longevity if the faberic used! People are now saying 400+ jumps are possible!!!!?????!!!

So we know that this Marty guy is smart BASE guy ,

So what's he got cokkin', I mean for years he's been pushing the allmighty Ace & Blackjack and now coming out with his own new!

As stated in your other thread. Here is something I learned a long time ago. The first rule about flight club is, don't talk about flight club.

I've tried to get information on skydiving parachutes from the performance designs and other manufacturers test pilots. They don't give up anything.

Never thought you were 75. And as for tough ... you should see the arm lenght bruise on my left arm from a freefall collision. It hurt a lot and I didn't cry. Now that's tough!

I havent flown one yet, but ive heard nothing but good things from Asylum employees as well as jumpers who have demo'ed and/or ordered them. the SEVEN I believe it is called, and it supposedly has an amazing flare, even from half brakes, and a great glide and sink.

They are good. Very very good. Im sure more will come in due time.

Is it the same design as ACE/BJ just new material?

I believe they're all Marty/Asylum with a different design and flight characteristics?
I would really like to know if Asylums coming up with a lower profile container?

Different.

At least with the "Seven" anyway. I've been told it is along the same type design as the OSP.

I took some pictures of an inflating feather and observed the inflation after a terminal jump. It looked very good. Nice, quick inflation and the demo jumper was also happy with it.

Edit to correct the canopy type, it was a feather, not a seven

The Asylum Canopies:

- The Seven is a well built canopy. Very good performing. Fast pressurization. Excellent flat turns, and a strong flare.

- It is not related to Ace/ BlackJack

- Seven is an all purpose canopy.

- Feather is a light weight canopy. Same airfoil with similar flight characteristics.

At this time it is still a too early for all the info.

Here is the Seven in action. The openings feel and look like it's a vented canopy... But it's not! So sick! Amazing glide with the ZP as well. I have about 70 jumps on the Seven, slider up and down this thing rocks! Great for any type of jump!

hookit is correct, the Seven and Feather are totally unrelated to the Ace / BJ.

Both canopies are awesome. I have jumped them both in the 240 size at .68 wingloading. I jumped a 240 BJ and Mojo for several years and there is no comparison. Everything about the Seven is better - the handling and flare are amazing, and it packs much easier - you have to experience it to believe it. It's nice to experience innovation and progress first hand, especially when it leads to more fun.
Marty does have demos and he is sending them to seriously interested jumpers.

Marty has a low profile wingsuit rig coming as well, actually. But don't call him about it because I know he's busy as hell right now trying to keep up with massive orders, and I think he's going to post news on the asylum site soon.
