11.4. ITW photos
Hi,

I'm trying to find a guy who was shooting photos of exits on the morning load.:-) He was wearing black and orange PF track gear. Had my first E and would love to have a photo of one of the jumps. Blush
If someone has a contact or just knows who he was...

Yeah, I prolly know who it was. What kind of gear/clothings did you have on? I'll ask if he have some pics, or give him a link to this post :)

I had orange PF pants, black PF jacket, black rig and a blue full face helmet. My friend had white PF pants with 2 red stripes on the side. Adidas style :-)

Thanks for the help.

i still have never fallen for more than 2 seconds in a BASE jump, and i cant even imagine what it feels like except in my dreams. i really am looking forward to getting to ITW in the near future. awesome pics.

I was in the same place when I did my terminal first jumps (with three friends) in Norway a few years ago. Stood at the top of the jump for a good long while looking at the ground and thinking "15 seconds my ass -- I'm going in at 3 for sure". Really couldn't shake the feeling that this was a 300 foot cliff. As soon as my feet left the edge, though, I knew exactly how high this thing was.

The coolest thing, for me, about my first terminal jumps is that it was the first chance I ever had to really think in freefall. On a 2-second jump, I find that I pretty much go from thinking about the exit and body position to thinking about pitching. I enjoy the visuals, but that next step is always right there. Terminal jumps, there's this space in the middle where there's really nothing else to think about.

I totally agree. I only have two terminal jumps. The antenna seemed enormous, but ITW for some reason didn't seem as big as I expected it to seem, until I left the edge of course. And also about the time to take it in and think about the subtleties of the entire jump, like exactly where your toes and shoulders are, ect...

Very different experience than subterminal.

well i hear you on that. this whole process is taking me a long time because im working on getting my life shit together so i can start to travel and get around. i tried to get a job at kjerag last summer but they werent liking me/my resume/experience.
still cant wait to flick out there/ITW/big giant walls. i know it will be a different sensory experience.

The 8th picture along is my 1st Slider Up jump
.
Sorry guys but don't see the attraction, I much prefer a sub 200 SL from a crappy little B in the middle of town.

Each to their own I guess, I can understand the wingsuit flights but the rest, save the hiking and jump from a plane.
