about fucking time. I have been amaized no one has done any thing about these guys before now. I mean a lot of the ships that have been ceased have been from smaller countries but we're not talking about a major power here. Even thouse smaller nations could have delt with this. Hell call black water. Not a big job. I think even a small country could swing the tab.
Once again we must dimemstrait to the world the only way to deal with terrorest agression.

Its a puzzle, for you.

Either a person knows or they don't. That or you are not who you say you are and you are actually involved with the colors of the rainbow. Wink

I never heard of devgru until now. It appears to be publicly known.

Just like DF, but doesn't mean it should be necessarily discussed.

In reply to:
Asked how the snipers could have killed each pirate with a single shot in the dark, Gortney described them as "extremely, extremely well-trained." He told NBC's "Today" show that the shooting was ordered by the captain of the Bainbridge.

The SEALS arrived on the scene by parachuting from their aircraft into the sea, and were picked up by the Bainbridge, a senior U.S. official said.

Now, thats what I am talking about!

Re: [leroydb] How bout them SEALs
Still have no idea what you are talking about and that's fine, I can live without knowing.

The internet has a wealth of information regarding the Devgru, including military forums where it's discussed. Doesn't seem to be much of a secret.

Re: [TizzyLishNinja] How bout them SEALs
Let me break it down with some personal meaning.

I have been deployed many times over the years and have had reporters somehow miraculouly "know" things or assume things. Those little things or lets call them bits of information can be used by the "enemy" against us.

If you had a child in the military, just because the news new your kid was in the green zone(IRAQ) off off "palm" street, would you want the news, or anyone to dislcose that information? Especially when that information could get your sone killed?

I know its far fetched, but really its not that far from the truth that the "enemy" can use any bit of info and build upon it.

little insignifigant bits of information can easily add up to something that can ruin a mission or get a Soldier killed.

Hope this helps you.

I say this with sincerity and no hashness

I think we all more than understand all of that, it goes without saying.

Still doesn't explain what "Mr. Rainbow finding you" means...sounds like a child's bizarre cartoon character.

Of course not, I was told military
are not allowed safety meetings.

Re: [leroydb] How bout them SEALs
The interesting thing about the Green Zone analogy, the bad guys probably already know the street names. US civilians will not. I'm not sure it helps hiding some facts from the US public.

The fact they exist might intimidate some. This encounter might let their reputation grow and the become more feared. (did Saddam have WMD's or just pretend? either way, he generated fear and concern. misinformation has been around for a long time!)

Now, tactics, force strength, names, etc. clearly should NOT be mentioned.

As a civilian who works for a defense contractor, I can attest that Leroy is 100% correct.
