This is a subject I have many questions about. I know the laws vary from state to state. Im in the military and usually only jump on friday and saturday just in case I do get locked up I can get out in time to make it back to work. If you do get locked up, how long do they hold you for? Whats the charge? How much will it cost in the end? Has anyone encountered military punishment as a result? If so, how bad did they stick it to ya?

Details are rough but generally:

I know of 1 case in germany. An unnamed special army guy did a legal jump but got hurt.

apparently that unit had an extreme sports rule and they used that to punish him.

He may choose to chime in but might reply by PM for personal reasons. ( I will try to pm him to assist )

As for me, So far all units have been supportive once they see I am not a crazed nut (perspective based).

yeah, got busted once after a B jump. my canopy lines got over a street light and took precious time to clear. the fat ass cop put me in his car but i managed to talk him out of taking me to jail. always be as nice as possible when dealing with the pigs. being polite is what saved me from jail that night. if he knew what i was thinking he would have clubbed me. FUCK THE POLICE!!

Was in a holding cell for a few hours, then they charged and released us.

My dad always taught me that when dealing
with cops that there is breaking even or some
degree of loss, but never winning...

Then later a good buddy of mine became a cop
and I did a ride-along for 6 hours and learned
first hand all of the shit they have to put up
with on a daily basis.

So I am always polite and so far have only
been in the clink once, but not for jumping.

funny you should mention it. Last time I was in a jail cell for jumping- I was with Magot. "I fuckin love pancakes!". He won the cops over and they let us out on bail.... After they realized he had $300in his wallet. He even talked some lawyer that was in our court later on to rep us for free and we got an ACD. After which we drove straight to a tower in the same county and flicked it.
