I was offered a position with the company I work for in Charleston, South Carolina. Anyone live there? What's it like?
I've been an Oregonian most my life and love the NW! The warm weather sounds nice but I might be missing the mountains and evergreens. Looks like there's lots of water sport though...might have to take up kite boarding! :-)
I have to decide quickly and prolly be there within 3 weeks. If I go, I'm sure they will put me up in a hotel or something until I find a place...So, if you live there and need a roomie or knows someone that does, give me a shout...

I lived in Columbia from March to June 06, which is NW of Charleston. Columbia was pretty damn hot and humid, and there was pollen everywhere the whole time. Greenish yellow dust all over everything. Charleston is a little farther south and on the water, so it's probably going to be a little hotter and more humid, but the pollen might not be as bad. Hopefully you don't have allergies. Not much info for you, I was in Basic Training at FT Jackson and didn't get to do any site seeing

been in Columbia, SC number of times over the last 10 years. solo (or cell phone) base is where it is at.
