maybe a stupid question, but was shane mc conkey this guy, there has created the jump "the mc conkey" ?

If yes, i think this great man must have been around 10 years in the sport?

.....sometimes if somebody goes in, i feel sick, even when i never known this man in real life.

that's a pretty big stretch...but you happen to be correct. Shane did in fact bring the "McConkey" or the "over" or whatever the fuck it used to be called to the sport of BASE, although I believe it was first done by a PG pilot.

But whatever that unpacked jump has been called in the past, to me, it will forever be called the "McConkey." I vote it becomes unofficially official.

He very humbly said that he had stolen it from PG.
Still, you have my vote for the unofficial official "McConkey". Most people call it that any way.

He was the first person to do it with BASE gear that I know of. He got the idea from pictures a paraglider pilot had posted on-line.

He originally called the move a "battle roll" (believe it or not).

After I did it a while later (I was the second person I knew of to do it), I christened the move the "McConkey."

You can dig out the old threads on BLiNC, if they are still there, where we talked about that as it happened.

I remember when Tom taught me about the McConkey I didn't really like the fact that it was named after someone when it could just be called a rollover. I think this was mainly because of the redbull impression I had of Shane, never meeting him of course. After I heard of his death I decided also that I will from now on refer to it as a McConkey.
