Employer & BASE
I know this subject has been covered in the past but I would like to hear from those who have been presented with the following scenario. You get a good job offer from a company that does defense contracts and has security clearances. Even though your background is clean, there is always the potential to get some trespassing/BS related violation in the future which could be grounds for dismissal. They will make a new hire sign an employment at will agreement on day one which means they can basically terminate you at any time for any reason. Getting caught in the aforementioned scenario could be considered a conflict of interest from the employers perspective.
If you have been in this situation, have you tapered down your local jumps and stick to the more common Potato/BD/Moab sites rather than doing the local stuff? If not, what is your rationale to keep jumping even though the potential for getting caught even though small, does exist? I am also not sure how often employers of this type research the backgrounds of employees after they have been hired.
Any input via PM or post would be appreciated.
Thanks
