Track suit: Pressurized vs Phoenix fly
Hi,

i'm interested to get a tracking suit... but which one?

The "Tube" from pressurized seems like the "track suit" from Phoenix fly".
Pressurized also build the "TS1" which looks more efficent!

Please tell me more if you tried some of it, or even others!

Interesting..

What's their performance compared to PF Tracking Suit?

Re: [Sangi] Track suit: Pressurized vs Phoenix fly
i own a phoenix fly tracksuit and a pressurized ts1, and also did 2 test jumps on with the tube.
performance pretty much depends on the guy in the suit, i tracked out the landing on kjerag with the pressurized ts1, but there are also guys with phoenix fly tracksuits doing this, and you can for sure do this with the tube too.
there is a video on the pressurized site where andi did 36 sec (if i remember right) off brento.

i love the pressurized suit, because i can track pretty good in it, i was always tracking with my legs spread apart, so its perfect for me.
and i like the phoenix fly tracksuit because you're not restricted in leg motion when climbing down to shitty exits, and i also track good in this suit, but its the same with the tube, so if i got the money ill buy a "tube" too.
at the moment i switch between phoenix fly and pressurized suit, depending on jump...

Gridset skolten, exit 860 meter above the sea level, and about 800 meter distance horisontal! First generation PF pants!

Long time ago, but feels like yesterday!

+ you can always do a little warm up dance at the exit point wearing the pressurized suit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c4L4CPfQY8

i always used to do a warm up like that everytime on the exit when i wear the pressurized suit. (seriously!) i also allready thought about writing "cant touch this" on my pink pilotchute.

I've never jumped the Phoenix Fly suit, but I own one of original pressurized suits and I can reckomend it. It offers a great performance.

Re: [base736] Track suit: Pressurized vs Phoenix fly
what are the restrictions due to the TS1 suit?
i tought it was like a "normal" pant (tube or PF suit) , just bigger...

Re: [cyril] Track suit: Pressurized vs Phoenix fly
The ts1 has a lower crotch than the PF-Pants, like a little legwing.
Restrictions are not too noticeable. You might not be able to hop over fences and stuff.

Re: [cyril] Track suit: Pressurized vs Phoenix fly
Anyone who has really jumped both suits more than a couple of times will tell you there is no question that the Pressurized has better performance. yes, you do need to track with wide legs... the increased surface area of the pressurized pants means more glide - end of story. There are a lot more phoenix fly fans out there; it's a bigger company, but bigger is not always better.

But most of the time it is... ask the girls...
The big advantage of phoenix pants compared to all the other track pants is that they are much more simple then most of the pants out there and the performance is better then most of the other pants.
And if you want something with better perforamce just buy the prodigy...

not "all" other trackpants.

the pressurized "tube" is as simple as it gets, and flys really well.
and also the ts1 is not more complex than the phoenix fly trackpants.

That's funny. You managed to say bigger is always better( I agree when it comes to suits given everything else is the same) and bigger is not always better in the same post Laugh.

Can you post some videos? I havent seen to much from Pressurized yet! The PF pants can easy be upgraded to be even a more killer flight pants with just some few personally adjustments. The 2. generation we did, and you can see the result in Journey to the center where I have a part from Gridset as well. If I added some perfect booties as well, I would even survived some few rounds in WBR last year against some of the wingsuit flyers!

Re: [434] Track suit: Pressurized vs Phoenix fly
then, if you take a PF track suit "too big", i mean one size bigger than what you normally wear, you'll have better perf ?...

Re: [cyril] Track suit: Pressurized vs Phoenix fly
Pants or tracking pants definition!
( I wrote that few years ago)

In pants you must be able, while standing on one leg, to bring the knee of another leg toward chin and touch the chin..
If you can not do that, than you are wearing some sort of WS.

That definition helped me to define what PF pants should be!
In PF track pants you can: run, jump from fragile exit, place crampons, climb antenna, make areals, etc...
In them you have 100% of comfortability and no restrictions at all , but still great tracking performance.

Any other way of making the tracking pants with much more performance, brings you to small WS! Small WS means restrictions and inability to move 100%.
Next logical step of heaving the performance higher with little loss of comfort is Prodigy as the small suit which outperform any trackking ''pants'' design..

Re: [cyril] Track suit: Pressurized vs Phoenix fly
To big/much pants will only give you more drag, and you dont want that. Then you are on the roll with rubberbands to keep it tight. I tried Medium, Large and XL, with my hight 179 cm, and with 75 kg dry weight, I found the Large to be best for me! Anyway if your track is not the best, you can gain some better results by having a zize bigger pants, but it is not optimal, since it also give you more drag, and you dont know if you fly the pants, or the pants fly you. Another interesting thing I found out was with 72 kg, and 80 kg, I got the same results, but my best flights weight was 75 kg!
