Re: [cloudtramp] BJ.com moderation
especially for those that object, please share your vision of what you'd like to see and how you'd like to accomplish it.

what's preventing it from occurring?

ps
there is NO way I can track how anyone votes. thus, feel free to vote ugly without worry.

Re: [cloudtramp] BJ.com moderation
Define moderation.....

Would it be any different if wwarped logged in with the username "moderator" and told you to watch your manners(follow the site rules)

And then log in as "wwarped" to say something like.."people should learn BASE the proper way,etc etc, whatever"

Would it be different if TA logged in as "moderator" and said "watch your manners(follow the site rules)"

And then logged in as TA and said something like.."from the hundreds of test Ive done, three times is enough, etc, etc, whatever"

I say if you follow the site rules you shouldnt have to worry what someone else is doing, why does it matter?

Re: [cloudtramp] BJ.com moderation
It will never matter who the moderator is or how they "moderate" the forums...there will ALWAYS be a very vocal minority of users complaining and a equally vocal group of users waiting to jump on whatever bandwagon comes along.

Re: [cloudtramp] BJ.com moderation
I think you need to separate the title of the person with the personality of the person.

When it comes to moderation, I think the task is being handled as expected. Occasional deleted post or edited post, putting site guidelines in the sticky post, etc. Fine.

Personality, another issue. The moderator tends to be an argumentative asshat devil's advocate who spends way too much time trying to protect a non-base jumping woman who plagiarizes in attempt to prop up her other shittily written articles for the apparent purpose of getting present or future old lady tang. (Isn't there a www.plagiarizeforums.com for crappy amateur writers to post shit?) Let's not even get into his weird affinity for not following capitalization rules.

If the moderator could argue and post opinions without you feeling like he's some kind of authority figure, you'd probably just ignore him like you do base75 or PrizzyTishWhatever.
