NEVER BLACK. The point of the tailgate is to encourage NOSE first inflation by restricting the control lines, inner D and inner C lines so that they are the last step in the sequence to keep them AWAY from the nose. But you do want tehm to seperate, black death rubber bands can restrict too much as seen on a SL video thats out somewhere on the internet. I generally use medium bands cut in half. You can use almost any rubberband as long as in achieves the task it was designed for.

don't have a photo.

but i use the small rubber bands available from square1 or paragear. i cut them in half and use 2 wraps.

easier yet. just use masking tape. three wraps and you can't go wrong. it's all i use.

Yet easier still two wraps of rigger seal thread works well for slider-up jumps. Plus it's easier to carry and not sticky. I prefer the TG for slider-off.

I always use masking tape too. Rigger seal thread seems like a good idea. The only thing I worry about with masking tape is the gum having something that might be bad for the dacron.

sticky side out. and use blue medium/light adhesion painters masking tape. I have never noticed any gummy stuff.
