there have been "Before You Post" and "Getting into BASE" links at the top of the page before. the were ignored. a sticky note will be ignored, guaranteed, and takes up room in the list. no big deal if you are browsing on a full size monitor. annoying, if an experienced jumper is browsing on a itty bitty screen.
