Trollwall
After this sad weekend I was viewing the bfl once again... What makes me curious is why there are so many fatalities on Trollwall? Its a huge cliff, with a large vertical, seems easy to outtrack. AFAWK jumping TW is prohibited, so I think (all in all) there can´t be as much jumps as in Kjerag...
Couldn´t find anything on the searchbutton. If there is, let me know.

btw,(maybe another topic, but none the less: any interests in a memorial forum, also for "people that died outside th sport"?)

As far as I know a part of Nicks fatality list covers people that died outside of the sport...

because it is a highly highly highly technical cliff. my friends were the 3 and 4 th to do it and they spent 3 weeks at the top trying to figure out how to do it.

bad weather. weird exit point. requires mild track to left for ~7 seconds and then 60 degree turn to right track. rick chime in on this. didn't john mjorn find the path to the top? i only emphasize technical since it really is not for a beginner. nice thing now is that jumpers have tracking pants/jackets etc that make things much safer than jumping in the far past.

Re: [460] Trollwall
What is known as the Trollwall is actually a great massive consisting of several different walls (4-5) and something like 15 different exitpoints. Some of them highly technical, some "first-timer"-exits. The one you mention has seen one fatality (Daniel), and is considered technical as you described. Some of the fatalities are not really relevant today as they occurred in the '80s. Linus, Coombsey and Tommy all jumped from the same wall and similar exitpoints. This is a different wall and is regarded as fairly "easy". As far as I know all fatalities were induced by overconfidens resulting in small margins. It can happen anywhere. Wind is often an issue in these walls, but to my knowledge it was not a factor on any of these accidents. The Troll massive has seen quite a bit of jumping the last years, though probably not as much as Kjerag.

ps. As the whole area is illegal, fines are set at a fixed 20.000NOK (~3.000USD) and all gear used for jumping (incl. suit, camera, helmet, etc.). During the last five or so years a total amount of fines around 200.000NOK have been issued.
