It depends.

My way for solo handheld jumps:

I look over my right shoulder & reach
my right hand back to make sure by
touch and sight that my bridle is going
straight from the bottom pin to my top
right shoulder where I tuck a little bight
of bridle under the riser cover.

Then I run the bridle down the top of my
right arm and S-fold the excess bridle in
my hand along with the mesh of the PC.

Now I am ready to take some big deep
breaths, contemplate shitting myself,
and then I do my exit count.

I squeeze the slack between my ass cheeks. Its like a weird fetish thing.

Apex BASE will soon be coming out with a magnet modification that will allow you to throw your bridle onto a spot on the back of your rig (it'll be held by a magnet) - I think it is on your riser covers - so solo handheld jumps will be easier.
