Vampire 3 body position
Perhaps someone who has jumped a V3 can share how the body position varies between it and the V2/V1. For example, the V1 seemed to fly best when at a steep angle and the arms slightly behind you. I never jumped a V2 but heard that some people found the best position with a slight bend in the knees and de-arching.

From the videos and photos that exist of the V3 so far, it appears that it can be flown well with a very natural, flat body position. Of course everyone has a different body and will find slightly different techniques that work for them. But generally speaking there is a certain position that a suit will fly with maximum speed and glide. That is the technique that I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, natural flat position works. It's less complex than V1 and for sure V2. V3 user manual can be referenced here:

i'm one of the bend guys, slightly bent knnes, arms bent and closer to the body...
after a couple of jumps on the v3 i can say it won't work, especially the bent armwings.
the super solid arm leading edge makes this almost impossible.
for me it's a completely new body position...and i haven't found it yet. the old one don't work so well, i can say that.
i think arms straight and pointing more backwards works best, legs relaxed straight.
and steep is still mandatory otherwise the huge armwings slow you down.
i try to roll ribcage and head down.
i believed all the people who told me it's natural to fly and a missile...blablabla.
first jumps felt somewhat slow, slower from the visuals than the v2 at least. 7 jumps now and i still fly like shit.
on the other hand i defiinately see the potential in it and am really looking forward to the bigwall season to fully start!i just need my skills to catch up to the suit. i was uncurrent for the first jumps and did no skydives before.
oh and the pull from full flight felt also really different.
a lot more down the leg the new pouch.
but you will fall in love with the exit...its like switching the thing on. super fast.

The question to ask is not how, it is why.
