Then, does that make it better?

I was going to suggest that you post a few more posts, so that you can hit 100 posts within your first month!

Congrats!

I like this quote:
In reply to:
If you attempt to devalue another person, you are only exhibiting the lack of value you place on yourself or that which has been placed on you by others.

In a non-threatening way, I ask you to explain the following so to clear up communication.

I ask, is this post a self defense mechanism to guard against the malaise of your reception to the BASE community. (This could be some peoples perceptions of you)

You wrote:

When we view life through such a narrow spectrum, thinking that life is as simple as an "either/or" situation, communication & relationship breakdowns are bound to occur.

Later on you wrote:

Are you an idiot moron that likes to jump off things or are you an intelligent athlete that physically trains, plans, mentally prepares and then executes?

Is this not an "either/or" situation where communication & relationship breakdowns are bound to occur.

Yeah, but; I only had a couple of minutes to research your diatribe and there are several sentences pulled word for word right from the article written by Geri Forsberg PhD. I just went with the obvious.

I kinda made the assumption you pulled from multiple sources and maybe added a bit of your own paraphrasing here and there. It's fairly obvious which is you and which is "borrowed".

...and I made my point rather eloquently; I don't need to keep searching.

but what is your point?

It's not copyrighted or signed with my byline.

So your point is that you have little else to do in your life but read what I post and ponder it.

So for that I say thank you.

Re: [leroydb] What To Do When Your Panties Get Twisted
First off, I hope you woke up for work on time after our long discussion last night, as I was running late.

Secondly, people with low self-esteem tend to attack others in order to bolster their own self confidence. Bullying is nothing new.

Thirdly, I am asking the question of how do you wish to be perceived. As we spoke of, you and I. There are three perceptions of each person.

The first being, how others perceive you, the next being how you perceive yourself and lastly, your true person.

So how do you want to be perceived? As an intelligent individual or someone who gets their kicks out of trying to bring others down?

The whole post is about asking oneself how well do you communicate with those around you. It's meant to make people stop and think.

Just wanted to throw this out there, "re: What to do when you panties get twisted"-

Ironic that out of 15 posts previous to mine, you are whining, trying to defend yourself in 8 of them.

Even more funny is how you introduced yourself as an amateur journalist in Hank's write-up. I think I can find a non-copyrighted or signed with your byline written about me that you can repost.

No biggie. Whats the difference between your actions and the previous posts about copyright infringement concerning photographs?

you know, others judge a person by their actions. a person usually judges themselves by their actions. these statements are not trying to make a point, but i feel i must excercise my typing to get away from my actual job.

And that is my purpose (more or less)... to make people think. Think for themselves, independantly, not to be the sheep of the world. I know we all can't be leaders or inventors, but there are far to many "sheep."

Here's the really funny thing...go ahead put your popcorn down, I don't want you to choke.

The fact is no one forces you to read my posts. They are clearly marked as mine and YET you feel the need to open them and read.

Now that's funny. You just brighten my world, oh yes you do. Thanks for the add in your tagline also... a real fan...you know what they say, "just spell the name right".

Well, lets see that's twenty or so responces to a fairly interesting post concerning peoples perception of reallity and how it affects their comunication and relationship to each other. I'd say it's well writen and well thought out. It does smell strongly of haveing been reserched, quoted, paraphrased, plagerized if you will and the only objection I have to that is there is no refrence where I might go to read further as It touches on some ideas I was thinking about a few years ago. Haveing said that I find it interesting that no one has seen fit to comment on any of the thoughts put forth in it. All the responces seem to be attacks on an artical about internet bulling, attacks, and intolerance to other points of view. I'm laughing right now.
