Hey all, I am going to get to the point......I have been skydiving and bungee jumping and I am dieing to go Base Jumping!!! I live in Southern Cali and I want to learn how, where to go and what to buy. Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction on where to go to learn and start.

Don't listen to Blitzkrieg! He is trouble; he will have you doing outside peg climbs covered in ice on your first jump... and besides, he's too far away. I'm way closer to Southern Cali and I only charge $4950.

Thank you Raylosli, that is the coolest thing ever. I am just looking for a new adventure and a new rush I am not looking to get raped for $5000 to do it. I know that everyone times is valuable and I am more then willing to pay for services....but I am not looking for someone to hold my hand I am just looking for someone to show me the ropes, give some tips, show me some moves and let me go....I just dont think that is worth $5000. Once we make it down I will be more then happy to buy you all the beer and food you want

If i am a troll what does that make you......I am just looking for someone to help me and not charge me an arm and leg. I dont need to borrow anyones gear I can buy my own, I am pretty damn good at skydiving, been doing it for years and I am just looking for someone to help me get started. Little did I know that everyone responding was going to be some raged up beefy looser with a huge complex. Isn't there just 1 person out there that just loves to jump and wouldn't mind helping others out

I never called him a troll, that is what he called me. I understand this is a tight group but I just thought more people would be willing to share their adventure. I understand about the money I just thought $5000 was a bit high.

With no info about you, I think offering a troll as one of 3 options was reasonable considering the request. As stated earlier, grow some thicker skin. Good luck.

What the hell is your deal. I just came on here looking for some help and some information about base jumping and you have been nothing but an ass. I dont who died and made you God but you need to get off your high horse. And as for my thick skin I have plently. I am looking for help, if you are not going to help me, then stop talking to me, I am sure you have better things to do in your "way cool" life.

You sound pretty experienced and you're doing the right thing: looking for help before you go about it. Posting naked pictures is a great way to break the ice. It'll get a lot more people to respond who are actually willing to help you.

LOL thanks for the advice....if I knew all I had to do what put some naked pics up to get some help I would have done that in the begining.

113 jumps over 5 years is not very experienced and means your not very current either, If you can afford to buy your own BASE gear then go spend that money on more skydives and after a few hundred more jumps think about what you want and do the reasearch, then do a few hundred more skydives and look into a FJC with a BASE company or an experienced mentor.

I know that I am not very experienced and I have never said I was. The last 50 jumps have been with in the last 3 months so I think I am pretty current. I am not looking to go out tomorrow and base jump. That is why I am here re-searching it and asking for help. Do you honestly think that I need to have over 300 dives under my belt before I can go for base jumping??

There is no rush, BASE will still be here when you are ready for it. You don't have to have over 300 jumps but at the end of the day, the more canopy experience you have the better you will be when (not if) things do go pear shaped and you only have split seconds to react. Take your time, do the reasearch and enjoy the learning process after all skydiving is fun

Isnt there a way to make people read all the articals on getting into BASE when they register?

Im sure that some of you computer nerds can make a path in the registering process that leads them to stupid questions and sometimes funny answers.
