2-way
I am planning a 2-way from a local A that is 340' and slightly overhung at the exit point. The two way will consist of a rollover next to a stowed jumper. My question is if these two jumpers exit together within arms length of each other and stowed jumper delays at least until rollover jumper receives vertical line tension could these two risk entanglement? I have studied rollover still grabs and drawn this on paper and it seems doable just wondered what the masses think.

well I would think anything is possible but I would bet 999 times out of a thousand that there is no way they can entangle. In my experience the shortest delay possible for a stowed jumper will still place him a hundred or so feet down from a person doing the roll over.

Obviously I don't have to remind the stowed jumper to not jump into the others canopy. And just for the purpose of safety I would put the stowed jumper to the right of the rollover because of the throw of the pilotchute being on the right side.

probably should be precise about exit timing.

Make sure you give me a call when you are going to do this; I'll come up and video the carnage.

We are trying to pull it off as a going away present for Man Love. Should have done it last night. Winds were nearly calm out of the East -6 degrees F.

Fuck last night, it was cold!

For my 20th jump i decided to ask a friend for a 2-way. Both handheld from 270ft A.

As i exited i think i focused too much on him as i subconsciously started turning towards him. I was sure i was about to get a 42" ZP up my nose and 265 sq/ft of FOX in my mouth complete with mutli. What an amazing visual

We haven't repeated it. Laugh

I would add, also, that you may be surprised (I know I was) by how far a rollover can get below the stowed jumper, and how long he can spend there, if the exit dynamics aren't the same for both. Because they're building in a front roll and because getting out over the canopy is so important, jumpers doing a rollover can wind up pushing down on exit a lot more than a freefall jumper will (or at least, not pushing up).

If you're not planning on having the deployments start in the same space (ie, if you're not comfortable having a pilot chute in the air near the rollover's canopy), I'd suggest as a rule of thumb that the freefaller should be comfortable with the idea of taking a 1.5-2 second delay.

closest I have done was a 2 way water fall from 300ft...
