Interesting that the 1st guy gets more canopy time from his freefall than the last guy gets from a PCA. How can a PCA be that bad? it's not like he just chucked the lot before the pins popped...

Ok so I know this has brought a lot of interesting comments, as for the of headings I think it was a case of doing a reverse floater PCA is not so easy some times, there was also a bit of wind, the reason for such a short canopy ride was he just happened to hit the biggest tree around :). There is actually a landing area under the bridge (hence the side and back floaters) I do admit yes it was low but luckily it worked out well and no one got injured, we all walked out with smiles all around.

medium term chances of no injuries from jumping such stuff are pretty poor. I have spent almost a year being disabled from injuries. One time for about 7 months laid up on my back. And I'm still in debt from all these injuries which happened many years ago. Go find a better object.

Not very cool in my opinion. Stupid is the word that comes to my mind. Shit LZ, Shit PCA's, and 1 super ballzy freefall. You guys want to get hurt or dead, go brag about it elsewhere. The younger, newer jumpers of today, do not need to see such poor decision making. Unless its being used as a training tool of What not to DO!!

Probably a good thing. The way the canopy was diving into the rocks, I didn't think that was going to end with two femurs intact.

I know this probably goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. I've done a few sketchy jumps in the last 8 years, but there's a right way to do it, and a wrong way to do it. The ones where I did it right, I am proud of what we accomplished. On one particular jump, I didn't take the time to do things right, and very nearly watched my brother go in. It's not a jump I'm proud of, because it doesn't actually take skill to go off half-cocked.

I really hope the smiles at the end of the video betray the fact that the three of you scared yourselves shitless, and learned a valuable lesson at a fraction of what it might have cost.

I'm not going to criticize any of the jumpers in the video for poor judgement because I have a large collection of my x-rays and one dead friend all thanks to my poor judgement. I do have a question for all those on the load.

Have any of you ever seen, heard and felt a fellow jumper go in? You can feel it through your feet and the sound is deafening. Then you get to stand over him/her as they turn blue.

If you have then I'm sorry.

If you haven't it looks like you will soon. Be ready it will be a thousand times worse than you think.

With that said I hope you never have to experience it.

Hey, they learned an important lesson from the first guy. If you see someone freefall and they have a .5 second canopy ride, get a PCA. If you side float the PCA and then dont make it to the landing area under the bridge, get a floater pca. When none of that works, learn to never jump that object again, and post the video so others can know why you say youll never jump that object again. That cant be much more than 150 feet.
