I'm thinking of heading to Peru, just to visit.
Any crews out there?

Re: [FIREFLYR] Peru...anyone?
Huascarán has been jumped, but it's not a hike, more sort of baseclimb. For sure there must be more, but where...Unsure Lima might have some buildings.

Good luck,

avoid the shining path terrorist group.

the harrison brothers jumped there and even got the police to close the streets for them to jump a building.

peru can be very dangerous off the beaten path.

Huascaran? are you sure?? I think you are mistaken, Huascaran has definately been flown parapente (as has much of the Cordillera), but I have much experinece down there and am quite sure there have been no jumps off huascaran. In fact I'm quite confident its "not base jumpable" whatever that means. I believe you are maybe thiking of Philip Blanc Gras's ~2004 jump off a different 6000m mountain in that range?

There are defiantely jumpable buildings in Lima. There are a number of jumpable cliffs/mountains in the Cordillera Blanca, but most are not quite steep enough. There are scattered radio towers about too.

Pm me FIREFLYR if you want to know what I know about jumping in peru.

Ooops,

Yes, you are right. It was not huascarán, but a mountain opposite it. (NW direction). Huascarán has been descended on skis but that is something else.
